Beach - port agaete

In the northern part of Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands, you can find this port with beach. There are white houses and the weather is quite good almost all the time, it is a place that combines everything, it has good restaurants, it has a port and a beach, you can fish, swim, dive, etc.

It has an avenue and natural pools; it has one of the best festivities in Canary Islands in the month of August. My favorite thing is the sunset. It is located in the western part, even though it belongs to the northern community and the sunsets are photographed and admired by many since they are amazing.

In the port you can lie down to suntan or sit down to talk, drink some beers, and enjoy the fresh air. It is a place where you can make an excursion or eat, stroll around, spend the day in the beach…It is usually very calm, even though in the summertime many people go to the rocky beach and to the port, but it doesn’t feel crowded. It is not too big or too small.

It is quite nice and my favorite corner. I like going there on my motorcycle and sit in the port to drink a few beers and listen to some music. It always leaves a smile on my face.

Gastronomy, landscape, beach, incredible memories

Agaete is a fishing port in the north of Gran Canaria. It is a municipality where you can enjoy a beautiful day with the best fresh fish of the island. It has various beaches, mostly rocky, some are difficult to access. The port has a fishing pier where the ferry of Gran Canaria - Tenerife arrives. The coastal area, known as Puerto de las Nieves has numerous bars and restaurants where you have to try the grilled fish, sardines, squid, octopus and local products.

The insignia of this municipality was “The Finger of God” (Dedo de Dios), a rock in the middle of the sea with the shape of a finger pointing to the sky that fell in 2005 after the tropical storm “Delta” that devastated the Canary Islands.

There are beaches with crystalline waters and natural pools to enjoy a great day in Gran Canaria. Enjoy the pictures and remember the popular saying, “If you go to Agaete come and go, because if not it will get into your heart”.

In the north of the island

This port is located in a fishing village. It was renovated a few years ago and got wood to make the pebble beach more accessible. Separated into two parts, one makes another beach and fishing pier and an old disused people use as access to download with fins and snorkel. Keep in mind that on this side of the island the water is frozen, and that's the way it has this port the accumulation of salt is very high which makes philotes more. Highly recommended eating at the restaurant located at the entrance of the port, "The finger of God" which takes its name from a rock that had at the end of the beach next to the mountains but Qued destroyed by a severe storm in 2005.

Landscape, look no beaches

Agaete is in the northwest of Gran Canaria, 30 km from the capital. Do not go looking beaches, as it is boulders, incmoda on the shore and in the water. It has some natural pools something else dressers. There is a Cliffs continuation worthwhile visit, as they are spectacular. While seafood is tpica gastronomy of the area, we did not eat anything right by the agglomeration of tourists had.

Paisaje, no busques playas

Agaete is a fishing village located in the northwest of gran canaria.

It has grown from a fishing village located in the northwest of Gran Canaria. I recommend all visitors to taste some of the terraces in our fish, paella, wrinkled potatoes and blanching gofio. Then you can take a stroll through the famous Poets Walk at sunset, where you can admire the natural pools and a wonderful sunset.

Agaete and sea

Beautiful village west of Gran Canaria, a corner to wander through its narrow streets and get to enjoy the sea cliffs and the scourge of small waves.

It is a fishing village, pose a port ...

It is a fishing village, pose a port with 2 beaches, this town was the famous "finger of God" until a time two years ago (more or less) disappeared. The place has a very cool little shops where you can buy souvenirs such as pottery, t ... instead of the bars and restaurants is very good as there are many right on the harbor with sea views, on clear days you can even see the Teide.
