All Saint Church

1 review of All Saint Church

You can climb the tower to see the view over the town and the beautiful Loch Fyne

The bell tower of Inveraray is one of the most important tourist attractions to be seen in town. The church that is below is called All Saints Church. It stands out because the small houses of the village are all white, and the church was built using red granite from the region. Construction began in the year 1885, and it was based on a design by an architect from Edinborough. Most of the furniture and decorations inside were donated by the Duke of Ardyll, Niell Darimid. The bell tower is designed in a neogothic style. Most of the church was built fairly recently, in the year 1923 after the First World War as a memorial to the soldiers who were killed during the First World War and other wars in the past.
