Arts and Crafts School

Created in 1919 by the painter Mariano Bertuchi. Present location opened in the vicinity of the Queen's Gate, in 1928, after having passed through the Luneta Street. In this school crafts are taught, nine specialties of about 100 students. Another three or four specializations have stopped for lack of teachers. They earn more from private production. A real shame. When we visited it was not operational since students were on vacation, but we visited the showroom, the beautiful garden and some units of the school, all in the hand of a friendly guide who was at the door of the school when asked about a possible visit.
