Ascent to the Peñota Since the Dehesas in Cercedilla

3 reviews of Ascent to the Peñota Since the Dehesas in Cercedilla

The Peñota through the Meadows

Good

Despite the heat of the summer, it is a pleasure to climb to the summit of the Peñota, also known as the Carpentier peak (with a height of 1,945 meters), from the Meadows of Cercedilla. To go by the Arroyo del Infierno, the route passes through a pine forest and finishes in one of the best viewpoints in the Sierra, from which you can see the majority of the plains of Madrid and Segovia. This rise has no difficulty, despite having a difference in altitude of 800 meters.
