Some of the best beaches in Miami
This island next to Miami has some of the best beaches around the city. With tropical plants, white sand, the ubiquitous palm trees and clear, warm water, it's a great place to go swimming. The sand isn't as fine as you might expect, though, so bring your flip flops. In the Bill Baggs Florida State Park you'll find the best beach, where the sea turtles lay their eggs in a perfectly maintained environment.
