Beijing Capital International Airport

4 reviews of Beijing Capital International Airport

Largest airport in the world

Beijing Capital International Airport (北京 首都 国际 机场) is the oldest in China and the largest in the world after its enlargement in 2008 for the Olympic Games. It was designed by British architect Norman Foster. It has almost one million square meters and capacity for 76 million passengers...to give you an idea, that's about as big as five London Heathrows put together. With these dimensions you can imagine that has all kinds of services for visitors: exchange offices, boutiques of local products, clothing stores, ATMs, restaurants, etc.
