Pastries of belem

Well, I think this is where you will find the best and the most authentic Pastéis of Belém. These are small, sweet pastries filled with cream which is said to have been inherited from the ancient monastery of Geronimo monks of the order of Geronimos and is located right next to the bakery. The recipe is a secret, though, and it is said that only the great chefs here know how to make them. The bakeries are always crowded but are very fast and efficient when they care of you. First go through box and say how many pastries you want. Then you get a ticket andt then you give your ticket to one of the staff of the bar and you get your pastries. They put them in a box with two packets, one with cinnamon and the other with glazed sugar to put on top of the pastries. If you pass by Lisbon don´t forget to go to this place.

A sweet experience

As we passed by the Bethlehem Street inevitable in noticed in pastry "Pastis de Belm derived from the number of people who find the door to enter. Without doubt, a place with a lot of afluncia people. Though apparently this pastis are identical to the usual pastis cream, to test them found that the so at all, the same thing. The pastry with own production, was inaugurated in 1837 and this would donate the secret recipe has been kept under lock and key at the present day, so, s possible here find this pastel; s some people tm knowledge, currently, its ingredients this has been, without doubt, the great secret of the business The large site with about 400 seats spread over four rooms and its beautiful interior. with a decoration very base tile. The pastel can be eaten plain, sprinkled with cinnamon or powdered sugar. If you want to take them to eat later, there is a take-away service that provides a box with 6 pastis. The clockwise from 1 October to 30 June Monday to Sunday from 8 s 23h and from 1 July to 30 September from 8 s 24h.

Unable to go to Lisbon and not taste the famous Pastel de Belém This is perhaps the most traditional delicacy in Portugal or at least the best known. The Pastel de Belém is produced with sugar and egg yolk. He was elected in 2011, one of the seven wonders of the gastronomy of Portugal. Nowhere in the world do you prove true Pastel de Belém unless the famous Factory Pastel de Belem in Lisbon. Even the traditional cream puffs (also delicious) you eat in Portugal can be named as the "Pastel de Belém". That's because the recipe is kept secret and exclusive from 1837 to the present day. Both the original recipe as the name "Pastel de Belém" are patented. The Pastel de Belém Factory is located in the district of the same name, near the Jeronimos Monastery. Depending on the day and the season, formed queues to buy the pastries at the counter. The price is good, especially considering that we are eating "O" Pastel de Belém true, "because now"! The unit costs about € 0.95. People usually buy them in dozens and carry them in special packaging bags. But it is nice to eat them on the spot, sprinkling them with sugar and cinnamon. The architecture of the store, tiles, rustic tables, all give a very special touch and even Portuguese. There you find also other delights, like breads, quiches and cold.

They said that in the neighborhood of Belem in Lisbon, are produced for many years the most delicious cakes. It's what they said ... and I wanted to try. Moment was approaching. In just a few days preparing my visit to Lisbon. And then, I waited eagerly to the day when I finally could leave for the Portuguese capital. The day came and, with his feet and in Portuguese lands, the anxiety to prove the famous 'pasteis cream' betrayed me. I never Belem. I found a bakery in walk anyone and I decided right there that taste delight of many talked. Big mistake!. I liked it but, just liked. After several days in Lisbon came time to pay a visit to Belem ... I had already tried the cream pies. I liked but the anxiety was gone. The Belem Pastry was no longer a must, previously only a destination in my time in Belem. Perhaps it was lost interest responsible for more than pleasant experience at the famous bakery. Maybe it really was just pastry creme de Belem Pastry cakes are the most delicious.

No llegué a Belem.

Since 1837 sweetening portugal

Belem cakes are so popular and famous as the same tower of Belem, and delicious flavor make you unable to leave Lisbon without testing. This in the neighborhood of Belem, near the monastery of Jerónimos and the Torre de Belem, a huge place that proudly wears the facade in 1837 as the opening date of Belem pastries. Belem cakes, cream cakes round, served hot and are made according to a recipe that theoretically only know three people. Despite the size of the place is always packed, but the diligent service makes waiting times are minimal, and there are enough tables to sit and repeat the commands because it is almost impossible to be satisfied with a single cake

Antiga confeiteria belm

The pasteis de nata are a sweet specialty of Portugal, and this cake is the worthy representative. It is a tradition to stop eating a pasteis in this confeiteria seems he is the best of Lisbon since 1837 when it opened. His name is so well known that it must wait 20 minutes to buy these delicious cakes to take away. They can also be enjoyed inside with a tea, they are still warm and delicious! To have tasted others during my stay (yes I could not resist), then those are really delicious! Crunchy outside, creamy inside and a bit of cinnamon sprinkled and voila!

Rich rich

These cupcakes are like Coca Cola Lisbon. The recipe is secret, and everybody likes. A pastry cream base and, in Belem Pastry get to make some cupcakes are sweet but not cloying, very rich, both cold and hot, but I liked was as hot and cinnamon on top, a delight. They are sold in several bakeries, but it is best to get where you really make them, in this district of Belem pastries, it is always full. In case of doubt it is, in writing brings very big floor name. The unit costs about € 1, the right price for a rich sweet and so demand.

Ricos ricos

A very, very secret recipe

There is a place in Lisbon that no one should miss. The name already sounds great: Antiga confetaria, pastéis home two of Belém. In many places in Lisbon (and in Portugal) offer Belém pastries, but you have to eat here, and that for two reasons. First, here are always freshly made (makes about 10,000 a day), and have nothing to do. The second is that the recipe is top secret, so others are imitations by force, better or worse but imitations. If you want to know more, come into ' http://bit.ly/ihthuz,' and next time you go cautious not to overdo it and ask "one, I'm on a diet." Perded head and without fear, because I assure you that it is a unique experience.

You should not miss the cakes of this pastry

All those who went to Lisbon told me about this place: indeed the pastel de nata that are here are a delight. The place certainly recognize him out because there is always a row. It 's very close to the Tower of Belem. If it's sunny, dont give a bag and go to eat on the benches near the park.

Delightful

If visiting Belem is obligatory for every tourist who arrives in Lisbon, can not be less tasting the delicious cakes (or pastéis de Belém). The bakery is right in front of the tram coming from Lisbon, a few meters from the Jeronimos Monastery. Each muffin has about 90 cents, you seem a pittance when you try it for the first time (still makes my mouth water ...). Sounds like something fried milk, but thicker and surrounded by a thin puff pastry, dusted with icing sugar and cinnamon ... A godsend!

Must address the district of Belém. It is certainly in this shop - tea from 1837 found the best pastéis de nata all Lisbon. You can buy take-away but I recommend to eat in this charming atmosphere where you can even see the bakers at work. They are served hot. Fluxes and they are surrounded by a thin crispy crust, a real treat!
