Black Island

The Black Island or La Isla Negra (which is also known locally as Bali Hai), is one of the islands that comprise the archipelago of the Whitsundays, which is a National Park, Great Barrier Reef in full, (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981). These islands are washed by the Coral Sea. Black Island is located north of the archipelago, west of Hook Island and south of Hayman Island, and is one of the smallest of the islands. The truth is that the name does not actually describe it at all, because Black Island is a bright and impressive island with amazing flora, especially the sea-life, which is filled with corals of every color imaginable, and which themselves are populated by colonies of tropical fish that you can see just by dipping your head in the water at the edge of the beaches.
