A historic building
The Botanical Museum is located in San Diego. The Botanical Building's view with the lily pond in the foreground is one of the most photographed scenes in Balboa Park. Built for the 1915-16 Exposition, along with the adjacent Lily Pond, the historic building is one of the largest structures in the world. The Botanical Building plants include more than 2,100 species, with fascinating collections of cycads, ferns, orchids and other tropical plants and palm trees. The Botanical Building also features some of the Park's vibrant displays of seasonal flowers.
