Amazing at any time

The light that filters through this place is amazing at any time, day or night. Throngs of tourists shooting their cameras to take in the gondolas passing below. The whiteness stone is highlights with the beauty of the architecture.

The Bridge of Sighs is one of many bridges in Venice. It overlooks the Rio de Palazzo. This bridge Baroque style was designed by Da Ponte. The bridge is made of marble and white stone. It was built in 1602 to connect the Doge's Palace with the prison built. This suggests that the name "Bridge of Sighs" suggests sigh expressed by prisoners brought before the judges during their last look worn over Venice. The bridge is made of marble and white stone. Two "mesh" stone windows are present on both faces of the bridge. I apologize for the photos, but the bridge and surrounding buildings were under renovation, which is a pity.

Bridge of sighs

Built in the early seventeenth century close to the Grand Canal, the Bridge of Sighs is a quite peculiar history, which was discovered during our tour of the city. The bridge was indeed built in 1614, a few years after the construction of prisons and interrogation of the Doges Palace cells. It thus allowed to isolate prisoners Palace. His name is shown as it symbolizes the last breath that prisoners grew, just before entering the prison, seeing on their right, the beautiful open view of the Grand Canal. Irony and hard ;)

The bridge of sighs or bridge of sigh...

The Bridge of Sighs or Bridge of Sighs is one of the major hallmarks of Venice. It is a seventeenth century Baroque structure that gives access to the prison of the Doges Palace. Legend has it that the convicts sighed when they saw the last time the sky and the sea. Most gondola laps begin at channel under this bridge.

The bridge of sighs is surely the mos...

The Bridge of Sighs is surely the most famous bridge in Venice. It is located next to St. Mark's Square. When I visited the island, I expect (as a good tourist!) With great anticipation to see the famous bridge. I was a little disappointed when I saw all packed. We could only see a few pieces of the bridge as you can see from my photographs. With the visit of the Doge's Palace, I could also see it from the inside and better understand its history. This famous bridge is not romantic. He was the last bridge qu'empruntaient convicted before going into the prison of Venice.

The Bridge of Sighs is located near St. Mark's Square. This is one of the symbols of the city. What is amusing is the romantic that we gave this bridge picture. I'll tell you the story that unfortunately nothing romantic. In fact, this bridge connects the Doge's Palace in Venice prison. This is the entrance to the prison. Prisoners spent on this bridge and the story goes that they sighed admiring last time the city through small windows! From the outside it really hard to believe that it was a prison. To pass this bridge you need to visit the Doge's Palace.

The bridge of sighs is not to be miss...

The Bridge of Sighs is not to be missed when visiting the Venetian city. It passes over the Rio Palace and it is made of white Istrian stone. Far from romantic beings, the famous bridge sighs are those prisoners who joined the prisons out of the courts of the Doge's Palace. They saw the lagoon one last time. It is reached during the visit of the Doge's Palace, which includes the prison cell where Casanova escaped in 1755.

It's a little star of Venice as well as the San Marco and the Rialto Square. It bridges the gap between two buildings of the Doge's Palace and the bridge in front of it is assaili tourists finding the best position for the flash when a gondola goes under. By visiting the Doge's Palace, we were able to pass through from the inside.

The Bridge of Sighs is to visit the famous city of Venice in Italy. Instinctively we think that this bridge OF a romantic connotation, sighs in love is not at all what is a bridge that once separated the palace of justice and prison ... Less glamorous, is not it. Many scuicides took place on the bridge that is not an inevitable pasmoins monument in Venice.

Architecture voluptuous

Do not be fooled by the name and appearance .. As indicated by some as a romantic place, the sighs actually are due to the sufferings of the prisoners who used the bridge to pass between the Court and prison. No doubt, however, will be amazed at the sight of architecture voluptuous, especially when you go below the gondola.

Architettura voluttuosa

This view is not bad for the last

After making their way from the ducal palace, arrived at the dungeons where you can take the next picture behind the walls. Do not know if it would be comforting but it's something. It cost me put myself in the place of the poor condemned because he still had the rush of winning the World Cup last night. Striking over luxurious and monumental palace to a place so dreary (in the second picture the high of the dungeons).

I was lucky enough to be in venice th...

I was lucky enough to be in Venice this summer, and it is true that the bridge can not be viewed in all its beauty from the outside because they are doing conservation work, but if I walked in and took the telefonino Ducale explaining each room and Ducale palace room, I understood and opening in my mind what was the Doge, and what was this palace and more, which meant the republic of Venice!!; Why mention this?, because when you get to the room Judiciary (breathtakingly beautiful and terrible at the same time), because from then departed those facing a secret door that came Where?: Well the "bridge of sighs" where you get to the dungeons in the which are written on the walls of the pleas of the damned, and indeed, from the bridge have a low view of the island from the lagoon. If you go to Venice and you limitáis to see the bridge from the outside, you will miss one of the most impressive cultural experience as it is to see the Ducale and see what they felt to be sentenced prisoners and see the "real Bridge of Sighs" is say, from within.

But I have found myself the designer. You can not say that it is sad to see, but a little 'sin is. In any case it is better to see him like that seeing the site for the building renovation. What do you say??
