Cafe Sibylle

Sibylle Cafe in Berlin could well be a scene out of the film "The Lives of Others" by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. It was one of the most popular places in East Berlin and today it still maintains the aesthetics and atmosphere of the early 60s. It is situated in the Friedrichshain district on the iconic Karl-Marx-Allee, which was known until 1961 as Stalinallee Avenue. It is a place to grab a coffee or a vodka with friends and take a break from the hustle of Berlin tourism as it is a very quiet place. With a sober and functional atmosphere, it is also a gallery of the history of the famous avenue, in which you can find posters, toys and other objects of the socialist era.
