Campa Torres

La Campa Torres was the oldest settlement of Gijón, as evidenced by the Romanesque remains found in the area, and the wall that protected the settlement. Currently we can see some remains and reconstructions, as well as admiring the views of the coast near Gijon. To the west, you can see several beaches and the small town of Cudillero, and far in the distance, the Peñas cape, the northernmost point of Asturias. To the east, we have the whole city of Gijón and nearby beaches. Nowadays, there is a power plant here, rather ruining some of the landscape, but the nature of Asturias is beautiful, making it a nice spot to visit on a clear day.
