Casa Trabanco

The Casa Trabanco is one of many homemade cider houses that abound in Gijón. It's kind of far from the village, but it offers a relaxed and friendly environment with two spaces: a very cheerful and lively restaurant-bar at the top (which also has a terrace), and a winery below, perfect for group dinners, dinner with friends or business lunches. You can go on a small tour of the facilities where they make cider (which we did). It's really interesting to see the process of apple fermentation and to watch the huge barrels where cider has been made each year. It's an ideal location to enjoy the best of Asturian gastronomy, with good quality, good price and great service.
