Castle of Ingapirca (Ecuador)
The archaeological site of Ingapirca is primarily a Canari settlement and then Inca. It is one of the most spectacular places in Ecuador for anyone interested in art history, expecially before the Spanish conquest. It is smaller and less spectacular than the far away Machu Pichu, but it is also much less crowded and easier to visit. If visiting Cuenca, Ingapirca is not to be missed!
