Splendour
The Musee de la Ceramique (Rouen) is in the beautiful hotel Hocqueville. While presenting the most important earthenware, it focuses on the splendour of the production of Rouen: Abaquesne Masseot boxes, Poterat blue monochrome, polychrome decor, and sparkling chinoiserie from the rock era. It has great service and spectacular ceremonial ceramic sculptures. The collection begins with the 19th century, and contemporary art exhibitions relating to ceramics are regularly organized.
