Belssima religious manisfestao at the seashore

The Hindu Galungan is a ceremony that takes place every 210 days (once per calendar year in Balinese), to celebrate the victory of good espíiritos against evil spirits. The ceremony that we attended was held in Kuta. Hundreds of Hindus accompany procisão to the beach, playing Gamelan (Balinese musical instrument), carrying the Tedung Buana (the 'umbrellas' typical) and Banten (handmade straw baskets) with offerings. Upon reaching the beach, the altar was occupied by the priest and the girls started dancing Balinese Gamelan while still being touched. After all prayed to the sound of prayers and bell. At the end of the ceremony, images of the gods were washed into the sea and offerings were thrown into the water.
