Chalet Lacul Balea

Balea Lake is on top Transfagarasan road, which crosses the Fagaras mountains at a height of 2000 meters. Chalet Lacul Balea is next to the water. It's a modern wood and concrete construction that's well-equipped for cold months as well as in the summer. In the winter, they close this road, and the only way up is by cable car. The house, however, is open throughout the year. The villa is at a height of 2034 meters, and they rebuilt it in 2000 because the old one burned down.
