Charles James Napier (August 10, 1782 - August 29, 1853) was a British general who served during the Napoleonic wars. He played an important military role in India, and was made Governor of Kefalonia in 1821. In 1843 he began the conquest of what is today the Pakistani province of Sindh, and was made a Knight of the Bath as a reward for his work.
