Church of San Pietro in Golden Sky

The Church of San Pietro in Golden Sky was renovated in the XII century in Romanesque style, it owes its fame at European level for the presence of the mortal remains of St. Augustine, moved here in the eighth century from Sardinia. It is dedicated to the father of the church, above the chancel is the monumentally splendid marble arch, with many statues and painted relief, built between 1362 and 1402 by Lombard masters.
