A little bit hidden away, this is...

A little bit hidden away, this is located in the courtyard of a building, so you can't see it from the street. It is a Romanian Orthodox church built in the late eighteenth century, very representative of Romanian art in Brasov. Romanians have long been a minority in the city, and were once forbidden to live within the walls. It was only in 1786 that the city allowed this church to be constructed, and it was inaugurated in 1788. There are interior works by the painter Gulimievici, completed in 1859, but later restored.
