A popular park

The Cinquantenaire Park is undoubtedly one of the most popular parks in Brussels. Just steps from the Europea Commission and Council, it's the ideal place to go walking, jogging, or have a picnic. When the weather is good, you're sure to see plenty of young people lying in the grass. Inside the park, you can see the Arc de Triomphe and the fiftieth anniversary palace, now home to the Army, Art, and History Museums. You can see different sculptures in the park, like the monument to the Congo. Sometimes events take place here, like rave parties, or sporting events.

Museums and lawn

Well well ... What to tell this park .. Actually I had been advised to go for a walk to the park, very nice, etc ... I. And so I was disappointed Algom I share my impressions to see if it's worth to go for a walk pror there (between Metro Schuman and Merode Metro). The first park is not as big as it breaks it in half a street car and open to normal traffic. The grounds are beautiful, lawns and trees. Many cars and tourist buses (these do not have to get wet ceiling worldwide under Belgian weather ;) Well yes finally going to come to see this park are museums that are there (history, ejércitom car 'and the beautiful entrance you have that reminds a bit the Musée de l'Homme in Parism with a triumphal arch that overlooks sharply towards large boulevards and old-style columns that come out of this arc to form a walk of half círculom roofing; The set is quite impressive (it also made me think of Berlin): But if you are in Brussels it is best to go see Pc themselves!

Museos y césped

Bueno bueno...

It is the largest museum complex in b...

It is the largest museum complex in Belgium. They include: The Royal Museums of Art and History which are particularly famous collection Egyptology Capart. Autoworld, which has a nice collection of cars in the early 1970's Army Museum, which features among others a fine collection of military vehicles and aircraft of all kinds. This complex is located in one of the largest parks in Brussels. If you look at the map of alleys and avenues around it, you will notice that it is (as the park Brussels by the way) the main masonic symbols (the plumb, square and compass) This monumental complex was built for the fiftieth anniversary of Belgium hence the name. The museums are connected by beautiful arch surmounted by a quadriga monumental bronze.

On y trouve:

It is a triumphal arch with three arches located in the Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels, 30 meters wide and 45 meters long. It was made by the Belgian architect Gideon Bordiau at the initiative of King Leopold II, to commemorate when the National Jubilee exhibition of 1880, the fiftieth anniversary of the independence of Belgium. Its construction lasts from 1880 to 1905. The World Expo will be here in 1897. Above the arches, is a bronze chariot called "The Brabant raising the national flag", the work of two Belgian sculptors Thomas Vinçotte and Jules Lagae.

The green lung of brussels

The Parc du Cinquantenaire is one of many green lungs of the city, the most appreciated by the citizens and not only. Walking inside we find beautiful statues, is also visible from here the Islamic mosque, the building that houses the army museum and the history of human passions and pavilion visited by appointment and work of Victor Horta regarded as the greatest architect of the Belgian 'art nouveau.

A great little port of brandenburg

Any resemblance totally coincidence, lol. This is in Brussels, in the Park in Cinquentenrio found a huge garden, these to dazzle any visitor. But what draws most attention on are the flowers, not the way ed full of fall flowers ... anything. The Port Cinquentenrio Park a true wonder. Many people who go to Bruxelles or to Cinquentenrio in the Park, but in my opinion one of the touristic points that no one can lose in the Belgian capital.

Located in the european district

Near the great buildings of the European Union, this wide open space gives us the opportunity to climb to the upper terrace of the arc (through the military museum, free) and have a very good perspective of the entire neighborhood.
