Convent of San Francisco

The Convent of San Francisco de Ampudia, is located in the Plaza de San Miguel and today is the building that houses the Museum of Sacred Art of the municipality. This is an old church, which was home to the Franciscan order, and being completely abandoned after it was decided to completely reform its agencies to collect in this Museum of Sacred Art. This former convent was founded in the seventeenth century by the Duke of Lerma, favorite of King Philip III.
