Costa Rica Pacific Beaches

The Pacific coastal region of Costa Rica is a dry region that's a little desolate. It unfolds from Northern Guanacaste and drawing a line going down to Puerto Jimenez on the Panamanian border. Central America has varied landscapes as well as climates. You can see everythign from the mountainous interior of Monteverde, to the Tamarindo beach if you want to get a little hotter. The journey begins in Tamarindo in the north. A beach-resort tends to be a little bit too touristy for my tastes, so I like to descend to Punta Arenas and on the way found deseticas beaches and wonderful as Playa Carrillo, Sanjuanillo, Samara, Ostional, Uvita, Manuel Antonio and finally PN Concorvado.

Costa Rica at sunset

Hermanosa Beach in Costa Rica gifted me with a series of the most beautiful sunsets I'd ever seen for the week I was staying there. The addition of the couple walking along the sand made the setting seem even more romantic.
