De L'Europe Hotel

The Hotel de l'Europe is on Felix Faure Ave. in front of the main bus station and close to the train station. The historic downtown is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The area can be a bit noisy because of the traffic on the street, but nowhere near as noisy as in a big city. You can park your car in the private parking lot, which is convenient because there are so few places downtown to park. They speak English and Portuguese, and understand a little Spanish as well. The hotel is in an Art Deco-style building which was recently renovated and all rooms have AC. It's a family-run hotel. Double rooms cost about 50 euros / night, and the 4-person family room is 65 euros.
