Dirty Dicks

If you find yourself waiting for a train at Liverpool Street Station around lunch time, I'd recommend the Dirty Dicks. It has a beautiful top floor with windows looking out onto Bishopsgate where you can see the businessmen come and go from the office. It has the clean and traditional atmosphere you'd expect from an English pub. The menu is respectable, with a selection of sandwiches (I got the chicken sandwich with bacon, served with salad and delicious chips), vegetarian, appetizers (the hummus was good), classic stuffed baked potatoes, some heartier meat dishes and, finally, a selection of desserts including bread and butter pudding and sticky toffee pudding served with caramel sauce and ice cream.
