Located south of the city near the famous Mall and the many famous museums and institutions in the federal capital, Downtown DC is one of the main areas of Washington, and one of the nicest as well. It's the business district and has a lot of offices but there are impressive buildings and many small boutiques and international brands. This is one of the hotspots of the city for shopping and also a nice place for a stroll.
