A Place Full of Life

Good

Throughout my journey along the coast of Biscay, I have been amazed at the capacity of many seaside towns to have a beach or a swimming space in the most unusual places.

This is the case of Ea, a surprising small but long beach that takes advantage of the mouth of the ria and the access towards the Cantabrian.
What surprised me was to find places full of life, with local people jumping to the water from any point, forgetting about the rocks and the sand, filling with life and color places that seemed forgotten.

On top of this, Ea has a small strip of golden sand that is the delight of the locals and visitors.

Little Town in the Sea

Even though it has its own town council, many people link it to Lekeitio (Biscay). It is a small town next to the sea. A very curvy road unites it to Lekeitio and Gernika.

It used to be a fishing area, since it had direct access to the sea, but today there are only a few boats for fishing and leisure.

Swimming among the cliffs

Great

Small beach at the sea inlet of Ea. It might be too small when the tide is up, but it's worth swimming among the cliffs.
