We booked bus tickets through the EasyBus site before our journey to central London. We were expecting a huge bus, but in fact it was a shuttle that picked us up at Gatwick. The price varies according to the schedules and times, but it usually does not exceed 10 pounds, and their slogan is "a transfer for two pounds!" This is a good, cheap option to go from the airport to the city.
