El Campanario Shopping Centre

Frankly, it is one of the prettiest shopping malls of the islands, but don’t expect to find the traditional shopping place, you will find a town with a bell tower included. I know the mall since it opened, since I go many times to the island, and the change has been spectacular in every way. The most important one is the opening of new stores, despite de crisis, even though there are still some empty businesses.

I was in the April Fair organized by the mall; I recommend you go…it is a week with shows, dance, kiosks, and even a fair. In April they inaugurated a park for children, which seems to be the biggest in the island, it is huge, and there are karts, football field, etc.

El Campanario is a beautiful shopping mall located in Corralejo, where they reproduce the structure of a colonial Spanish city; the stores are distributed in pebbled streets that go from a central square, meeting place and center for different activities, like live music, Sunday market…

The shopping mall takes its name from the bell tower (campanario, in Spanish), that presides it with a height of 25 meters; its 32 bells keep time with well known melodies from all over the world. From the bell tower you can contemplate the Isla de Lobos, Corralejo and the locality of Playa Blanca. It has a surface of 21319 square meters; it has 81 stores and 216 underground parking spaces.
