El Carmen Church

The Church of Our Lady of Carmen, which can be found situated in the heart of Villa De Leyva, belongs to the Order of the Discalced Carmelites. It was constructed in the year 1850, and highlights their situation which is typically Andalusian with the crossing of 2 chapels, being 1st known as the early church belonging to the monastery and is dedicated to the Virgen del Carmen, and the 2nd, the Mayor, which is the Church of "Mama Linda".
