Due to the lack of rainfall in the Region of Coquimbo, the importance of using cost effective water resources has led to the construction of several dams in the transverse valleys that run from the Andes to the Pacific Ocean. These large engineering constructions have also led to tourist activities such as fishing and water sports, as well as beautiful photo ops of these picturesque artificial lakes which are surrounded by colorful mountains. When I visited the Puclaro Reservoir I was touring the region of coquimbo with friends and we made so many great memories.
