Street that is one of the most lively in the town

The street Espariat is named after Jean Espariat, born in the mid-18th century, and was the 1st mayor of the city of Aix en Provence. Before that, it was a feudal regime that ran the city, with a strong master and taxes. After the French Revolution, the people took power and chose its mayor. The street is one of the most animated in the village. Up from the fountain plaza to the city center. You can see the oldest churches in the city, and a number of stores.
