Fisherman's Wharf is located in the old fishing area of San Francisco, just north of the city, in the Marina district. It's a busy dining and entertainment area, especially at night. Of note is the Boudin Bakery and bread factory, where you can taste and see how they make the round loaves of bread that are usually filled with crab soup or tomato soup. Nearby is Pier 39, an old spring that has become a hub of restaurants and shops. Released sea lions inhabit the waters, and this is one of the major attractions of the area.
