Stuffed Desert Animals
The most visited area of the Tamerza Canyon is the tour around the Grand Cascade, where hundreds of busloads of tourists arrive daily. The environment is very bleak and the locals main source of income are the souvenirs they sell. You can buy all sorts of trinkets, ceramics, jewellery, hookahs, traditional dresses, and even stuffed desert animals. There are soft drinks and tea stalls, and even a camel with whom you can take a picture for 1 DNT (0.60 €).
