Recommended 100%

This is perhaps the oldest café in the world, dating back to 1720, where countless influential Europeans sat at the tables. I was lucky enough to visit during Carnival and, although a bit pricey, it is worth it to feel transported back in time to the Golden Age of the 'Serenissima'. We went as the 'canons' dictated, I.e. with our 'Venetian' costumes on, and could not count the number of pictures we took. A unique experience. Recommended 100%

The Florian is undoubtedly the most famous coffee and historical Venice, just in the Piazza San Marco. The internal layout is very interesting, small lounges are open to the street that the fund have a broker that unites all. You can also take a inmenasa coffee terrace, listening to music (at night). It is located under the arcades of the square, on the side closest to the Grand Canal. Both glamor pay 6 euros an espresso, a cappuccino € 9, ... But it's worth (only one, lol).

Venetian emblematic caf

Enter the Cafe Florian in Piazza San Marco full, as it is to imagine the eighteenth century Venice, the magnificent halls decoration is exquisite and one can recall the illustrious guests who once sat at their tables from Lord Byron to Goethe, Balzac, Proust or Twain among many others. They say to sit for a drink at one of the cafes in the Plaza de San Marcos is a typical Venetian experience, I rather would define it as a "turistada" quite expensive, certainly, but no more than take a gondola ride through the canals of Venice, in the end we all do and the truth is that I have to admit that the place has a very relaxing and it's a pleasure to enjoy a coffee or tea in the winter as you watch from the warmth of inside the transfer of the Plaza de San Marcos. To highlight the "cold" and "dry" their waiters who do not spend even a friendly face, no smile. This is typical of almost all staff serves you in most establishments Venetians, whether hotels, restaurants or cafes, they will not bother to be kind to anyone (not unpleasant and there are always exceptions) are simply there to make their work and if you do not like others will come and occupy your place, if there is anything left over are tourists in Venice.

Goethe, casanova, musset, george sand...

Goethe, Casanova, Musset, George Sand and many other celebrities attended this is the oldest cafe in the Piazza San Marco in Venice and remains a magical place. Founded in 1720 by Floriano Francesconi under the name of Venice Triumphant, he was soon named after its creator Caffè Florian. We can have a coffee on the terrace listening to the musicians. Note, however, that luxury is paid, St. Mark's Square and elsewhere in May 2010, a coffee cost 6 euros plus 6 euros for music ... Official website: Http :/ /' http://www.caffeflorian.com/'

The charming Caffè Florian situated in Piazza San Marcos claims the title of Europe's first coffee. The terrace on sunny days provides stunning views over the square charismatic. The Florian keeps the wood paneling of 1720, tables with marble tops and mirrors with gilt frames.

We enjoyed their environment

The truth is that we could have enjoyed a nice coffee in its pedestal but, yes, just a coffee incidentally worth 6 euros. If however we choose to get ice cream and listen to music featuring local and contemplate the movement of tourists and waiters in the place.

Caff florian

Currently the Caffé Florian still preserves the glamor, where people gather to discuss important matters or simply pass the time listening to a beautiful song, and the ritual of coffee a tradition that has survived all changes.

We went to venice carnival and we can...

We went to Venice carnival and we can not miss the visit to this cafe, certainly one of the oldest in the world, one of the most expensive coffee cost us a pretty penny, especially no big deal. Whenever we go abroad one of our must-see is to go to a charming coffee while you can offer something different and typical of the place. Certainly not this coffee rene conditions we seek. I advise for good cafeterias Prague.
