The Fountain of Neptune is one of the works of art that decorate the Piazza Navona in Rome. There are 3 fountains in total in the square, the main, in the center, is the fountain of 4 rivers, one of the best works by Bernini. The Fountain of Neptune is at the tip of the square, it is star-shaped and Neptune is in the center with a trident and is fighting marine animals and there are horses that seem to be running away from the fountain. Neptune is the son of Saturn, the brother of Jupiter and Pluto, one of the 12 great gods of Olympus, is easily recognized by his beard and trident and is sometimes represented with a dolphin, fish or newts.
