A local delicacy
At one end of the flower market, we found one of the typical Dutch delicacies, raw herring. It doesn't sound great, but I can assure you, it really is very good! There are several places around the city where you can try it. This one is in Koningsplein square, and opens at lunchtime. The most classic take is raw herring on a bun with chopped onion, but there are other ingredients available. By the way, if you're in this place do not forget to say hello to the camera. At the top of the building is a webcam where you can check yourself out later. Smile!
