Göreme Valley

Besides enjoying the unique landscape of this valley, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, something I recommend is a balloon ride. It is a unique experience. It is not cheap, I think it cost about 120 euros (in 2010), but it is a once in a lifetime experience.

Göreme Valley is situated in Cappadocia. When we arrived here we were greeted by high rock formations, called fairy chimneys by the locals. It is also called Valley of the Dongs, you know why.
