The Grand Bar Castan is one of the oldest cafes of Bordeaux, which is located on the banks of the river, on the Quai de la Douane. It opened in 1890 and is named after its first owner, Mr Castan. It was renovated five years ago, with stone walls and antique decor. It's like taking a trip in time. They serve classic food, traditional regional and French. Strangely, they serve a small cap with drinks. There is a heated terrace in winter. The Grand Bar Castan is open every day from 9 am until two in the morning but stops serving food before closing
