Essential part of la

The Griffith Observatory is one of the essential places of LA. The idea is to go up during the day to see the inside of the observatory and to go out at night,to see the city lights come on and how the city becomes a beautifully illuminated place, seeing all the way from the beach to the downtown skyscrapers ... passing the Hollywood sign. If you like photography, this is your place.

If you want an unforgettable view of ...

If you want an unforgettable view of the city of Los Angeles, this is the place. If you go to mediatarde to see evening you will stay with the two faces of angels, day and night. You realize the immensity of this city, only comparable to views of Las Vegas from the Stratosphere. Also you will see the Hollywood sign as in few places in the city. You have a view of almost 360 degrees. The site is actually an observatory, an exhibition hall and a planetarium, but the outdoor terraces and gardens are unsurpassed scenery that I have already described. There is free parking outside the observatory, after catch after a winding road. The photos at night or in low light are not my thing, leave that one crack open the Photo we delight in the sights of the city, now that the videos also are proof.

Want to know the origins of the universe?

Los Angeles is home to an incredible celestial observatory for studies: the Griffith Observatory! For us, of all ages is an incredible ride even if you do not get much interest for constellations. It is a beautiful property in the hills where you can see the whole city and on clear days even the desert. It is also the best place to see the famous Hollywood signs. In the afternoon I spent there I learned that the film "Back to the Future" and "Terminator" have been made there. And the visit was explained to me that the region is favorable for the observation of the stars due to low humidity, it is a very dry region. The property also has a park to spend relaxing hours in the woods and trails of the mountains, and from what I could see you have to be prepared because the track is really exciting, is slippery and has very steep ascents and descents, ideal for adventurers . Both children and adults marvel at the sights of the observatory. I had never been to one and when I saw all those stars and the seasons so well represented in perfect mockups freaked. And the huge periodic table that when you select an element by hand, shows what has made that element in nature! Certainly I would have done better in chemistry lessons if he had seen it before! All contents of the observatory is multimedia, you can interact, hear, see, touch everything and this makes the visit much more enriching. Want to know the origins of the universe? Watch the film, there is also a movie that is always with the queue a little big but worth it! For the most delicious part of the tour there is a restaurant with various delicacies, both sweet and salty, with several options for vegetarians also. And the location could not be different: all the walls are glass with incredible views of the city and I had the pleasure of taking a glass of wine watching the sunset, sunset-colored extremely sharp thanks to pollution from Los Angeles! Amazing time of day! And the restaurant is called "The Cafe at the End of the Universe"! I'm sure after this experience you will see the world differently!

Quer conhecer as origens do universo?

Quer conhecer as origens do universo?
Momento incrível do dia! E o restaurante se chama "The Café at the End of the Universe"!

From the hill on which sits the observatory, there are spectacular views of the city Los Angeles, including downtown Los Angeles to the southeast, Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. The observatory is a major tourist attraction, not only for the incredible views of the city, but the observatory itself

At least two good reasons to go

The Griffith Observatory is located on the hills of Los Angeles, so that's already a very good reason to go there: enjoy the views over the city, the hills and letters of Hollywood célébrissimes. But be that as there would be too stupid not to go inside. The tour, free shows really interesting for lovers of stars and other. On several floors, exhibitions and fun explanations. One can easily spend 2 hours.

One of the most beautiful promontories of Los Angeles, which allows you to see the city from above (and also its smog ...) The observatory also houses a museum of the most informative and educational space (as usual in U.S.). For movie buffs, it is here that filmed several scenes of Yes Man with Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel.

Stunning views of los angeles

Eye because you have to walk a ratillo and there is no single source of water, and I have appreciated quite as we caught a wave of heat over 40 degrees and although the views were breathtaking, the heat made the visit lasted little for a place where you freshen up!
