Hairy Cows

Walking though the Highlands or other areas like Sutherland, you may have noticed the presence of many special cows, which have a particular coat. These are the famous Highland cows, often called "Hairy Cows" by locals. What better place to see these iconic animals than the heart of the beautiful Highland valley of Glen Nevis? In the middle of a green pasture, beside a small river dominated by the slopes of Ben Nevis, we saw a mother with her newborn calf, curious about these strange creatures putting black boxes in front of their eyes!
