Haro en 4x4

Another of the activities we did in Haro was a 4x4 route through the countryside. The itinerary was cool. First, we went between the vineyards to see the vines up close.

The most surprising part was that we had hardly gone 5km and the landscape changed all of a sudden, and we found ourselves in a dense forest. After, we followed the Ebro, visiting the small towns and the stone houses so typical of La Rioja. Some, like Briones or San Vicente de Sonsierra offer spectacular panoramas.

Since the whole area of Haro is surrounded by vineyards, it’s neat to be able to see these vast expanses up close, especially in different seasons to appreciate the vines growing and changing color.

We saw it in the early stages (springtime) when the grapes are just beginning to grow. Also, our guide Luis knew every inch of the area and took us photograph to a couple of viewpoints and interesting places at our request.
