The most famous shop in london

Harrods is the most famous shop in London. It is located on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, near [poi?3529]Hyde Park[/poi]. Harrods dates back to 1834 when Charles Henry Harrod opened a small grocery store. In 1849 the store moved to its current location where, over time, it was expanded by purchasing nearby shops and houses. In December 1883 Harrods was the victim of a major fire and collapsed. Soon after, it was rebuilt on a larger scale. Currently the owner of Harrods is the Egyptian, Mohamed Al Fayed. As a tourist, Harrods offers luxuriously decorated shop with statues, fountains and rooms decorated with different motifs. There's an Egyptian room and memorials to Diana. Harrods is one of the most luxurious shops in the world and, therefore, their prices are quite high. Many tourists choose to buy souvenir tea pots, teddy bears, chocolates or other cheap items for presents. The world's first escalator was installed in Harrods in 1898. In its early days the ladder troubled customers and the mall's promoted brandy.

The strange magnetism of extravagance

There is no doubt that over the years and the emergence of new petrolferas fortunes Harrods have become one more of the points to visit in London. I acrrimo enemy to follow the flock, I was inevitably caught and dragged by the lights that adorn the facade, I could not resist. Will be a sin, I said, passed the huge and beautiful building and stay only with the image of their labor and artsticos windows. As you and I d entr face to face with the most sybaritic luxury and of course more "British". Starting with the confectionery and confectionery with the greatest variety of temptations that he had seen, secu the tour of the maze of lights, decorated stairs like an Egyptian tomb, lamps delicate crystal Lalique (I reckon it was the only thing were that I liked stores), perfumes, shoes stun prices, clothing, souvenirs 'made in Harrods' that everyone buys and then brag, and a thousand and one details and corners to which more 'snob' and surprising. While walking through the interior, he was informndome of the site's history. Apparently, it was founded by a merchant t, and at first it was no more than a store of modest proportions and little more than a door and a window. Several strokes of fortune made amassed the amount needed to raise the store claims to have "something for everyone", but of course with prices were not the first business. It was publicly traded, passed from hand to hand until finally falling into the hands of the royal family of Qatar, which bought it in 1500 million pounds ... Without words. And it shows, because now, more than 50% of the customers of Harrods are Arabs who seem to bathe in the golden hue that provide petrodlares. Before returning to our normal lives and little luxurious, we go down to the basement to see the mausoleum lifted above Dueo, Al -Fayed, in memory of his son and his partner then, Princess Diana of Wales. A sculptural set of questionable taste, but of course is surrounded by the mystery that attracts our curiosity and makes us fall, like the rest, in the tpicos networks. In short, you have to enjoy equally, right?

Experience is visiting fantstica

Harrods is a famous and huge warehouse, located in the picturesque area of Knightsbridge, near Hyde Parke and Buckingham Palace. It works in a majestic and immense building located on Brompton Road, it is a very lively shopping street par excellence. Its origin is from the year 1835 and with different owners transformations and has reached our days, with a supeerficie of 20,000 square meters, spread over five floors Harrods was sold by Mohamed Al-Fayed to the Qatari royal family in August of 2010 by intervals of 1500 one million pounds. It take a look at all the plants, for which I recommend using the escalator EGYPTIAN, which are a tribute to the world of the pharaohs and of course everything around them is decorated with objects from those distant lands .... Harrods is a key point in every tourist's visit to London is made. Encontrás whatever you ask and the prices are high, but what they sell is of the highest quality. Besides the stores, the Group owns Harrods Harrods and the ESTATE BANK HARRODS (Rel Estates). Be sure to take a look at the Power section on the ground floor, where you will find food of all kinds and from all over the munco. They say that if you are looking does not have, what you bring, wherever .... Visitaas on a "tour" that you will surely enjoy .....

Harrods is the shopping paradise for ...

Harrods is the shopping paradise for pockets well supplied, by the large number of items of exceptional quality. For other pockets is also a paradise where you can spend hours admiring the high prices of many of their products and to find that there are people who can really afford to purchase and not just stuff of movies. For instance, we saw a bottle of champagne that marked € 3,000. As a lover of the glass, I could allow the joy of seeing several sculptures by Bertil Vallien, a lot of pieces and superb Murano glass found in your stairs and hallways. Anecdotally, I tell you that I made the first picture of the works of Bertil and then came a friendly clerk told me it was forbidden to take pictures. It occurred to me to teach my membership card to the Friends of the Museum of Glass Alcorcón and automatically gave me permission to take the pictures he wanted. Also we saw the tribute that the owner of these stores have dedicated one room in his son and Lady Di. Each of the sections has its own music and not allowed to sell secondary brands. So, when I applied to an employee of the photography section I report on targets for the brands Canon Tokina, Sigma and Tamron, I explained surprised they only work with genuine Canon products.

When, in 1834, charles henry harrod b...

When, in 1834, Charles Henry Harrod began as a grocery wholesaler, it is far from suspecting the extent that will make his career. Indeed, after many dealings and recovery of the store by his son, then by wealthy families, the brand is changing and becoming more and more important over the years. Today, Harrods is the top of the "Department Stores": A sales area of 92 000m ², seven floors, more than 3,500 employees ... The numbers are huge, and largely illustrated from the store entrance. Symbol of London luxury in the world, the interior is beautiful: Floors, gilding, beautiful stalls in the image of the "so British" class, products of very high quality which the watchwords of the building located at heart of Knightsbridge. Although budget feel a little off here, a detour to the store, if only to see the magnificent staging showcases worth ... To see!

A voir !

A couple of januarys i was in london,...

A couple of Januarys I was in London, the city beautiful as ever and we had quite lucky with the weather, to little sun and everything! And if you're in London, you can not miss Harrods and besides, what better time than on sale! Everyone knows that this mall is expensive because there you can find all the high-end brands, but also have products Harrods, my favorite Christmas decorations! How are you dates had passed, everything was half price, I bought the bear, Christmas tree decoration thousand different ways, police, mini bear, also a soldier, I went crazy! Everything I loved, so load (of crap). We also could not find bikinis, sarongs and clothes out of season, for just over 50 €, of course all of "Superbrand". We bought a doll of gingerbread and then we eat it was sad, it was so cute! But it tasted great!

I disagree with melendi when he says ...

I disagree with Melendi when he says that Christmas has invented some malls. I think it's the opposite. We who identify, unfortunately, Christmas lights and decorations with these special invite to come and shop in cold dates and gifts. And of course, no retail space to miss the pull of the burn-visa at this time. We go to Harrods this Christmas and take a walk. This world fir artificial lighting compound fruit, golden baskets and several animals in various materials we kindle the spirit. Not the consumer, our pocket just for a souvenir da Harrods brand, but want to celebrate something. We bought a chocolate cake and we ordered a milk tea. White, I think London is said that these teas have almost aguachirri more milk. We sat. We serve our provisions. We hit a bite, a sip ... and life seems another. Christmas?? By your side, in London and with a pair of tickets to a musical. At Harrods you run everything else.

Shopping paradise

A department store on several floors and characterized by a charming decorations. Broken down by sector, I highly recommend the Food Hall that will enchant you with a thousand and one delights and unique products from anywhere in the world, for a little tasting, lunch, takeaway or for gifts. At the entrance you will find the map and I recommend you take it otherwise it is really hard to navigate! The part of suovenir marked Harrods is the most crowded, many elect him as a perfect gift for friends and family. Do not miss also the technological section, that of toys and why not ... the toilets! May your souls rest in peace

I went many times to Harrods and it is the end of the tenth or more times I found the memorial in honor of the Princess of Wales "Diana" and Dodi Al Fayed. To view this memorial, you have to go to -1. It is the first memorial to the unfortunate couple. This store belongs to the father of Dodi Al Fayed. You will see significant yoniques symbols the pyramid, the obelisk, the candle, the tower, the Celtic monolith, the spire, the Maypole, and the Sacred Lance symbolize the phallus.

Big store

Harrods is a bit Galeries Lafayette English but ten times better, smarter, more "in" London what! Harrods is represented by the famous bear that can be purchased of course in all its forms (keychain, plush, ..). Among the things you can find in the store: chic clothing (Chanel, Dior, etc.), jewelry, children's games, perfumes ... To enter Harrods must have proper attire as in any department store.

Harrods is located in Knightsbridge London, one of the most sumptuous city. It is the most famous and exclusive London store, is something more than a store. It has a total of seven floors where it sells a bit of everything from wild animals to grand pianos. Prices are generally high although they are great deals. At the time balances the queues that form are huge leading many people to sleep on the door several days. I also emphasize the food section of Harrods.
