Varmkorv

The "varm korv" is much more present in the lives of the Swedish than the hot dog is for the Spanish. If in Spain it is easy to find stalls selling chestnuts, sweet potatoes or popcorn, it is normal in Swedish cities to find carts hot dog vendors. Stalls or carts are usually small with only enough space for the vendor and his sausages. In Sweden they eat these as a mid-morning snack or just when they feel like it. It can also serve as a reward for children if they have behaved during an outing on the weekend. The typical hot dog has a small piece of bread with a cooked long, thin sausage. But now there are also about half a dozen different types which the Swedes find funny, names like chorizo, bratwurst, or Grillad bamse.
