Hotel Amsterdam

Mar del Plata is the second most visited city in Argentina, after the capital of Buenos Aires. So of course there's a wide range of hotels, hostels and apartments to suit all tastes and budgets. The Hotel Amsterdam, a 3-star hotel, is located on the Boulevard Patricio Peralta Ramos Maritimo, a short walk from the Bay of Playa Chica, one of the city's postcard spots. Its architecture dates back to the 20's, but it has been updated with the current technology. This house, built of stone and wood, was originally for a family. In the 70's, it became a 12-room hotel. In 1980, 18 more rooms were added, and in 1999, a further 10, all with modern comforts, but a sense of respect for the original architecture.
