Ice Hotel (Hôtel de Glace)

The Hotel de Glace (or Ice Hotel) is amazingly and pain-stakingly rebuilt each year from tons of ice and snow. The whole thing is an artistic masterpiece of themed suites, an ice bar, and other rooms.

Spending a day at the hotel is a fun and easy day trip from Quebec City (shuttles are even available or you can take a public bus if you don't have a rental car). You can take a tour of the beautiful suites, go behind the scenes, or spend time at their winter activities like snow tubing, snowshoeing, or going down the ice slide. Stopping for a drink made with local ingredients like spruce liqueur or maple syrup is also a fun treat.
