An incredible overnight experience

The Hotel de Glace (or Ice Hotel) is amazingly and pain-stakingly rebuilt each year from tons of ice and snow. The whole thing is an artistic masterpiece of themed suites, an ice bar, and other rooms.

Spending a day at the hotel is a fun and easy day trip from Quebec City (shuttles are even available or you can take a public bus if you don't have a rental car). You can take a tour of the beautiful suites, go behind the scenes, or spend time at their winter activities like snow tubing, snowshoeing, or going down the ice slide. Stopping for a drink made with local ingredients like spruce liqueur or maple syrup is also a fun treat.

However, the real joy comes with staying overnight. You'll be provided a winter sleeping bag and instructions for the best ways to stay warm, and yes, you can get a good night's rest. Having the place to yourself is a fun and unique experience! Best of all, overnight guests get access to the sauna as well which is a great way to warm up. Unfortunately, the jacuzzis were lukewarm at best but perhaps you'll have better luck.

This is a great way to enjoy Quebec in the winter! Book early for the best rates.

Sleeping between ice

Every year, in early January opens the Ice Hotel (Hotel de Glace) in Quebec City. It is a spectacular structure converted into a hotel, ready to offer its visitors the passionate affair of sleep surrounded by ice from the bed, the walls, chairs, ceilings and even the glasses. Undoubtedly, spend a night in the Ice Hotel has been one of the most exciting activities I've experienced, highly recommended. But it's not just sleep, visit the place because it is very entertaining, and it's fun to see how they create murals and furniture with ice. There is also a bar and offers diverse entertainment for the whole family, because yes, there are those who go with their children to spend the night there. It is a favorite spot for wedding and even has a chapel with pews thread, of course. Tip: If you're not willing to spend the night, you can make rune day visit and a few dollars can enjoy the place and follow it. Do not forget to take some time to have a cocktail in an ice glass.
