Hotel The Woodside

The Woodside is a Victorian hotel which stands in an idyllic plot near the castle of Doune. It's the epitome of a lovely Scottish rural inn. The rooms a bit old-fashioned in a charming way (including 4-poster beds) and the prices are reasonable. The hotel also has a pub/restaurant with fireplaces so you can warm up and relax. It's actually the largest pub in Doune which makes it pretty popular among the locals. If you're looking to party, though, this is definitely not the place. If, though, you're looking for some warm home-cooking and a relaxing pint by the fire, the Woodside will be waiting
