Ibis Coimbra Hotel

As is usual in the Ibis chain, this hotel is very well-located for visiting the city - five minutes walk from the tourist office. Most of the tourist attractions are in the upper part of the old city, so going uphill is sadly inevitable. There is parking available, and it's very cheap. It's a large hotel, and the public areas haven't been recently renovated. But the beds, on the other hand, are large and comfortable. We were on the top floor, where we were undisturbed by the traffic. Breakfast is good, with plenty of time and a wide range of products, including fresh orange juice. There's free wifi, and the staff are attentive and helpful.

The hotel is in the center of Coimbra, on the banks of the Mondego river, 300 meters from the station. It has easy access to many historic sites like the Coimbra, Santa Clara Convent and Conimbriga. It has 110 rooms and 2 meeting rooms for seminars and conferences.
