Schwäbisch Hall

The Church of San Miguel is located in the center of Market Square. It was consecrated as such in 1156. It has a high location meaning oe has to walk up the 53-step staircase to reach it. The staircase is very wide and well designed to give the impression that the entrance to the temple is not like a funnel. This stairway is also used it to make plays. Coincidentally when we reached the village they were preparing for a performance. Spectators sit in chairs facing the square.
