Japanese Friendship Garden

The San Diego Japanese Friendship Garden is located right in the heart of Balboa Park and is a perfectly picturesque and peaceful place to spend an hour or so. For a small entrance fee, you are free to wander the gardens, which are kept impeccably neat and groomed all year round. Spend some time soaking in the silent solitude at the beautiful outdoor Koi Pond, and then head to the Bonsai Garden to marvel at the several different types of Bonsai Trees on site. There is also a building at the bottom of the park that hosts different museum-style exhibits, so be sure to check the current listings on the website.
